ZICB Supports Infratel’s MSME Open Day.

As the Bank with with most SME-friendly banking proposition in Zambia, ZICB is proud to have partnered with INFRATEL to make their MSME Open Day a great success.


With a mandate to provide an enabling environment for digital transformation by accelerating the adoption of digital services and products in Zambia, INFRATEL organized the MSME Open Day to awareness of their digital services and increase the adoption rate of ICT services by MSMEs.


In this era of Covid-19, ZICB believes that digital preparedness not only creates better opportunities for ease of doing business but also allows MSMEs to compete favourably with other businesses.


The MSME Open Day attracted over 150 MSMEs from across the country and was graced by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Technology & Science, Dr. Haabenzu.

Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank Limited (ZICB) was incorporated on the 31st of August

  1. The Bank was created with a vision to foster economic development with a focus on industrialisation and commercialisation of local SME and Corporate business enterprises. ZICB has been positioned to grow into a major player in the Zambian banking sector. ZICB currently has 3 branches – two in Lusaka and one in Kitwe. Through its digital ecosystem, ZICB was able to support over 450,000 small-scale farmers under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) in the 2020/2021 agricultural season, representing about 45% of the targeted beneficiaries under the programme. Although ZICB is primarily focused on deploying digital infrastructure and Agency partnerships, the Bank also has plans to open more physical branches in other parts of the country in the near future.
